Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use Policy — Figmentic|Words

Effective Date: September 6, 2025
Legal Entity: Xruseon, Inc., doing business as Figmentic, Inc. ("Figmentic," "we," "us," or "our")
Product: Figmentic|Words (the "Service")

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are prohibited when you access or use Figmentic|Words, an AI-assisted daily Bible-verse and devotional application that selects a passage based on the current date (e.g., month = chapter, day = verse) and generates AI summaries, themes, and reflections. The AUP expands on Section 3 (Acceptable Use) of our Terms of Use and is incorporated into those Terms by reference. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.

1) Purpose & Scope

We want Figmentic|Words to remain a safe, reliable, and reverent space for daily Scripture engagement. This AUP exists to protect our users, our community, our service providers, and the integrity of the Service. It applies to everyone who accesses the Service in any way, including signed-out visitors, registered account holders, and anyone who interacts with our content, application programming interfaces, AI features, shared "Words," or supporting infrastructure.

This AUP supplements, and does not replace, our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and any posted Community Guidelines. If there is a conflict between this AUP and the Terms of Use regarding acceptable conduct, the more restrictive provision controls. We may update this AUP from time to time; material changes will be communicated as described in our Terms of Use, and your continued use after the effective date signifies acceptance.

2) Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will not, and will not attempt to, and will not assist or permit any third party to:

  • Illegal use: use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law, regulation, sanction, or export control.
  • Violate others' rights: infringe, misappropriate, or violate any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights of any person or entity, including copyright in Bible translations or other source materials.
  • Harassment & abuse: harass, threaten, bully, stalk, defame, or intimidate any person, or incite or encourage others to do so.
  • Impersonation: impersonate or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization, including Figmentic, our staff, or other users, or falsely state or imply endorsement.
  • Spam: send unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, chain messages, junk mail, or other forms of solicitation through or in connection with the Service.
  • Circumventing limits or security: bypass, disable, or interfere with usage limits, quotas, rate limits, paywalls (if introduced), authentication, Firebase App Check, reCAPTCHA, or any other security, access-control, or abuse-prevention measure.
  • Scraping & automated bulk access: use bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other automated means to access, harvest, index, or collect content or data from the Service except as expressly permitted in writing or by a published API under its terms.
  • Reverse engineering: decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying ideas, models, prompts, or algorithms of the Service, except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
  • Disruption: interfere with, degrade, or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks, including through denial-of-service attacks, flooding, or excessive automated requests.
  • Misuse of accounts: share, sell, rent, or transfer account credentials, create accounts by automated means, or maintain more than one account to evade limits, suspensions, or bans.

3) Prohibited Content

You may not submit, generate, request, upload, post, share, or transmit any content that:

  • is unlawful, or that promotes, facilitates, or encourages illegal activity;
  • is hateful, or that harasses, degrades, or promotes violence or discrimination against any individual or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic;
  • is defamatory, libelous, or knowingly false in a manner intended to harm another person's reputation;
  • is obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for a general, faith-oriented audience;
  • sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors in any way;
  • infringes any copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property right, including reproducing licensed Scripture translations beyond what their license permits;
  • contains another person's private or personal information without authorization; or
  • glorifies self-harm, suicide, terrorism, or other serious harm.

We respect the religious nature of the Service and do not modify Scripture text. You likewise agree not to use the Service to mock, distort, or misattribute Scripture in a way that violates the prohibitions above.

4) AI-Specific Misuse

Figmentic|Words uses AI models (including Google Vertex AI / Gemini) to generate summaries, themes, and reflections. In addition to the general rules above, you agree not to:

Build competing models or services. Do not use the Service, its outputs, or any associated data to train, fine-tune, develop, or improve any competing AI model, large language model, dataset, or service, or to otherwise create a product that competes with Figmentic|Words.

No prompt injection or jailbreaks. Do not attempt prompt injection, jailbreaks, or any technique designed to bypass safety filters, system instructions, content controls, or usage policies, or to manipulate the model into producing prohibited or unintended output.

No generating disallowed content. Do not use AI features to generate content that falls within the Prohibited Content categories in Section 3, or to produce misleading, deceptive, or harmful material.

No unauthorized benchmarking or publication. Do not benchmark, evaluate, stress-test, or measure the Service or its models for public comparison, publication, or marketing without our prior written permission. Internal evaluation for your own permitted use is acceptable, but publishing results requires our consent.

No automated extraction of model behavior. Do not systematically probe, query, or extract outputs in bulk for the purpose of replicating, reconstructing, or distilling the underlying models or prompt templates.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased and are provided for informational and inspirational purposes only. Misusing AI features to deceive others, evade safety measures, or generate prohibited content is a serious violation of this AUP and may result in immediate termination.

5) Sharing & User-Generated Content Misuse

Signed-in users may choose to share "Words" and related reflections publicly. Publicly shared content is user-generated content, and you are solely responsible for what you share. When using sharing features, you must not:

  • publish content that violates Section 3 (Prohibited Content) or Section 2 (Prohibited Conduct);
  • share content that misrepresents its source, authorship, or AI-assisted origin in a deceptive way;
  • use sharing features to distribute spam, advertising, malware, phishing links, or unsolicited solicitations; or
  • share another person's private information or content without authorization.

Public sharing is also governed by our Community Guidelines, where applicable. We may review, moderate, refuse to publish, or remove shared content that we believe violates this AUP or those guidelines, at our discretion and without obligation to monitor.

6) Security & Integrity

You must respect the security and integrity of the Service and the systems and networks we rely on. You agree not to:

  • introduce, distribute, or execute malware, viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, or any malicious or harmful code;
  • gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, server, database, API, or network, or to data not intended for you;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent any authentication or security measure, except as expressly authorized under our vulnerability disclosure process below;
  • interfere with the proper functioning of the Service, including by overloading, flooding, or spamming infrastructure; or
  • forge headers, manipulate identifiers, or otherwise disguise the origin of any traffic or content.

Responsible Vulnerability Disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it promptly and privately to legal@figmentic.com or support@figmentic.com. Give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and remediate before any public disclosure, do not access or modify data beyond what is necessary to demonstrate the issue, and do not exploit the vulnerability or degrade the Service for others. Good-faith research conducted in line with these guidelines will not be treated as a violation of this AUP.

7) Rate Limits & Fair Use

The Service is currently offered free of charge and is subject to fair-use expectations so that resources remain available to everyone. We may impose and enforce rate limits, request quotas, generation caps, or other usage controls, and we may adjust them at any time without notice. You agree to:

  • use the Service in a manner consistent with normal, individual, human use;
  • not engage in automated, scripted, or high-volume access that places an unreasonable load on our systems or those of our service providers;
  • not aggregate, resell, or redistribute access to the Service or its outputs except as expressly permitted; and
  • respect the rate limits of upstream providers (for example, Bible-text APIs and AI providers) that we rely on to deliver the Service.

If paid tiers are introduced in the future, additional or different usage allowances may apply and will be described in the applicable subscription terms.

8) Enforcement & Consequences

We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP and take any action we consider appropriate, in our sole discretion, with or without notice. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, consequences may include one or more of the following:

Warning. An informal or formal notice describing the violation and requesting that you stop.

Content removal or restriction. Removing, hiding, or disabling access to content you submitted or shared, or limiting certain features.

Suspension. Temporarily suspending your access to the Service or specific features, including AI generation or sharing.

Termination. Permanently terminating your account and access, including for repeat or serious violations.

Legal referral. Preserving evidence, cooperating with law enforcement, and referring matters to the appropriate authorities or pursuing legal remedies where warranted.

Our enforcement decisions are made at our discretion, and we are not obligated to apply remedies in any particular order. Nothing in this AUP limits any other rights or remedies available to us under the Terms of Use or applicable law. Sections of the Terms of Use intended to survive termination continue to apply.

9) Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or conduct that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to us so we can review it. When reporting, include enough detail to help us locate and assess the issue, such as a description of the content or behavior, where you saw it, and any relevant links or screenshots.

We appreciate good-faith reports and will review them promptly, though we cannot guarantee a specific outcome or response time. Please do not submit false or bad-faith reports.
