Account & Data Deletion

Account & Data Deletion — Figmentic|Words

Effective Date: September 6, 2025
Legal Entity: Xruseon, Inc., doing business as Figmentic, Inc. ("Figmentic," "we," "us," or "our")
Product: Figmentic|Words (the "Service")

This page explains how to delete your Figmentic|Words account and the personal data associated with it. It is the canonical data-deletion reference for the Service, including the disclosures required by the Apple App Store and Google Play. It works together with our Privacy Policy, which describes in more detail what we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it.

1) Your Right to Delete

You may delete your account and request deletion of your personal data at any time, for any reason, at no cost. Depending on where you live, this right may also be protected by law (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act/CPRA and the EU/UK GDPR), but you do not need to invoke any specific law to ask us to delete your data.

There are two ways to delete your account: (a) directly in the app while signed in (recommended and fastest), or (b) by submitting a request to us if you cannot access your account. Both methods are described below.

2) Delete Your Account In-App (Recommended)

The quickest and most reliable way to delete your account is from within the Service itself. In-app deletion is supported on both the web app and our mobile experiences. To delete your account:

  • Sign in to Figmentic|Words with the account you want to delete.
  • Open Settings from the account or profile menu.
  • Locate the Delete Account option.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts and confirm. You may be asked to re-authenticate (for example, re-enter your password or re-confirm your sign-in) to verify it is really you.

Note: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Once confirmed, your account is closed and your associated data is queued for deletion as described in Section 4. If you only want to stop receiving marketing email but keep your account, you do not need to delete your account—use the unsubscribe options in Section 6 instead.

3) Request Deletion If You Cannot Access Your Account

If you are unable to sign in—for example, you have lost access to your email or credentials—you can still ask us to delete your account and data. You can do either of the following:

Email us: Send a deletion request to privacy@figmentic.com from the email address associated with your account, and include enough information for us to locate your account.

Use the in-app deletion request form: The Service also provides a deletion-request form (powered by Formspree) that you can submit without signing in. Tell us the email address on the account and that you are requesting account and data deletion.

To protect your account, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before we delete anything. We may ask you to confirm details associated with the account or to respond from the account email on file. We will not delete an account on the basis of an unverified request, in order to prevent unauthorized or malicious deletions.

4) What Is Deleted and What May Be Retained

When your deletion request is processed, we delete or de-identify the personal data we hold about you, including the following categories:

  • Account & profile data: your name, email address, hashed password/credentials, and authentication records.
  • Saved words & favorites: Words of the Day you generated, saved, or marked as favorites.
  • Shared/public words: words you published or shared publicly (see Section 5 for specifics).
  • Preferences & settings: translation choices, reminder/notification settings, and other personalization.
  • Customer Content & AI outputs: your prompts, notes, selected dates and book overrides, and the AI-generated summaries, themes, and reflections produced for you.

Consistent with our Privacy Policy, certain limited data may be retained after account closure where we have a legal or legitimate-business reason to keep it. This includes:

  • Transactional & tax records: if you ever made a payment, records required to comply with tax, accounting, and financial-reporting laws.
  • Fraud prevention & security: limited information needed to detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Legal holds & compliance: data we are required to preserve to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Aggregated or de-identified data: information that no longer identifies you and is not linked back to your account.

How this aligns with our retention practices. Under our Privacy Policy, Customer Content and outputs are normally retained until you delete them or your account, or for 24 months after your last activity, whichever comes first. Diagnostic and server logs are typically retained for around 12 months and then age out on their normal cycle. Deleting your account triggers deletion ahead of those default timelines, except for the limited records described above.

5) Shared Words & Public Content

If you shared words publicly, those shared items are user-generated content that may have been visible to others. When you delete your account (or request deletion), we remove the shared/public words associated with your account so they are no longer published through the Service.

Please be aware that we cannot control or delete copies that others may have already made—for example, screenshots, links, reposts on social media, or pages cached or indexed by third parties such as search engines. If a shared item continues to appear in a third party's cache or index after deletion, you may need to contact that third party directly to request removal or wait for their normal refresh cycle.

6) Third-Party Services & Data

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the Service. When you delete your account, here is how data held by those providers is handled:

Authentication & database (Firebase / Cloud Firestore): your authentication record and stored account data are deleted as part of account deletion.

AI provider (Google Vertex AI / Gemini): we send prompts and applicable scripture text/metadata to our AI provider to generate outputs. We configure available settings to limit retention and do not use your Customer Content to train models we control unless you opt in. We delete the outputs we store for you as part of deletion.

Payments (Stripe — future): the Service is currently free. If paid tiers are introduced and you made a purchase, payment and billing records held by our payment processor (Stripe) and any mobile store (Apple App Store or Google Play) are subject to those providers' own retention rules and to tax/financial-record requirements. We may retain limited transaction records as described in Section 4.

Marketing email (Mailchimp): if you subscribed to marketing email, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by emailing privacy@figmentic.com. Deleting your account also removes you from our marketing list.

Forms (Formspree): if you used a contact, feedback, or deletion-request form, the submission may be retained by the form provider per its retention settings; we delete the underlying personal data we control during processing.

7) Timeline

We aim to complete deletion promptly. In most cases, in-app deletions take effect quickly, and we complete the full deletion of associated personal data within 30 days of your request or confirmation, subject to verification.

Backups and disaster-recovery copies are deleted on our normal rotation cycle. Until that cycle completes, residual copies may persist in secure backups, but they are isolated from active use and are overwritten or purged in the ordinary course. Data we are permitted or required to retain under Section 4 will be kept only as long as necessary for that purpose and then deleted or de-identified.

8) What Happens After Deletion

  • It is permanent. Account deletion is irreversible. Once completed, we cannot recover your account, saved words, shared words, preferences, or AI outputs.
  • You lose access. You will be signed out and will no longer be able to sign in with the deleted account.
  • You can return. If you want to use Figmentic|Words again in the future, you are welcome to create a new account. A new account starts fresh and is not linked to your prior, deleted account.

If you change your mind, you must do so before confirming deletion. After confirmation, the only way back to the Service is to register again.
